Grundlage ist ein reales fotografisches Standbild, das anschließend nicht nur medial in Bewegung versetzt, sondern dessen Kolorierung ebenfalls künstlich generiert wurde: von schwarz-weiß zu Beginn bis zu einer starken, mindestens genauso unrealistisch, distanziert wirkenden Buntheit. So zeigt sich hier das Ergebnis einer umfassenden Simulation, die sowohl Raum als auch Zeit der in Bewegung befindlichen Bildelemente umfasst. Und so ist der Werktitel „ Das beunruhigende Schwimmbad“ durchaus programmatisch zu verstehen: Das was wir hier sehen, ist alles andere als beruhigend.

„ … Die seltsam trunken machende Angst, hier dem Sog der Verwechslung der Ebenen ausgeliefert zu sein, lenkt eben nicht ab, wie andere glauben. Der Zeitpunkt, wo das wahr und nicht wahr ist, korrespondiert unfehlbar mit dem Erblicken der Vision unter der Spiegelung der Oberfläche.“
The basis was a real photographic still image, which was not only set in motion by the media, but whose coloring was also artificially generated: From black and white at the beginning to a strong, at least as unrealistic, distanced-looking color. This is the result of a comprehensive simulation that includes both space and time of the picture elements in motion. And so the title of the work, “The troubling swimming pool” should be understood programmatically: what we see here is anything but reassuring.
